Tasting notes on the 2013 Justin Sauvignon Blanc Paso Robles by Jim Gerakaris, CWE JUSTIN Winery Sommelier:
Appearance: Star-bright, pale straw with silver highlights.
Aroma: Lemon and tropical fruit elements of guava and pineapple with subtle orange peel, and fresh herbal notes including chamomile flower.
Palate: Dry, crisp and refreshing on entry with lemon, green apple, white peach and guava opening into a mid-palate showing subtle herbs similar to the aroma with some white citrus flower elements. The finish is bright and clean, with a slight mineral texture that makes it a great accompaniment to an amazing variety of food pairings from tapas like seared padron peppers, gazpacho, and fried calamari with a squeeze of lemon, or with freshly grilled fish with a citrus, mango, cilantro salsa with a just a hint of jalapeno for fun.
